The Cure是英倫音樂史上獨一無二的怪傑型樂團，他們的音樂遊走於Gothic Rock、Post-Punk、Alternative Rock，甚至充滿電子結構的New Wave之間，加上誇張華麗的造型，呈現了音樂無邊無際的想像力，也間接促成音樂史上一波又一波的革命，更替當代音樂立下了前所未有的典範；而因為這些前所未有的創舉，The Cure至今依然穩坐英國樂界的另類搖滾天王寶座，同時也是New Wave樂派的大師級樂團。

1976年成軍於英國東南部自治城市克勞利的The Cure，出道至今已有42年，目前還是由Robert Smith擔任主唱，並帶領著貝斯手Simon Gallup、鍵盤手Roger O'Donnell、鼓手Jason Cooper以及吉他手Reeves Gabrels等人。生涯一共發行過13張專輯的他們，連續13度闖入英國金榜Top50，並且在1992年靠著專輯【Wish】拿下冠軍，至今累積多張白金與黃金唱片；除此之外，The Cure還拿下兩座全英音樂獎、一座Ivor Novello大獎、兩座MTV音樂大獎與一座Q雜誌大獎，更兩度被葛萊美提名「最佳另類音樂專輯」，堪稱為20世紀的另類樂團表率與傳奇。在1990年時，主唱Robert Smith受到80與90年代崛起的電子音樂風潮影響，親自操刀將樂團生涯的11首經典巨作，包括"Lullaby"、"Close to Me"、"Hot Hot Hot!!!"、"The Caterpillar"、"Never Enough"等歌曲，進行了大刀闊斧的混音工程，幾乎將樂團原有的歌曲風格反轉，幻化為另人驚艷的版本，而這張名為【Mixed Up】的作品，也因此流傳千古，在英國拿下專輯榜No. 8、得到金唱片銷售認證，更在美國賣出超過百萬張的白金成績。

【Mixed Up】豪華版3CD，在CD1的部分，便是將1990年的經典混音專輯以數位錄音的方式重現，展現出歷久不衰的神作經過完美無瑕的錄音技術之後，再次顯露出該有的音樂本色；而CD2的部分，選用了1982年到1990年間，Robert Smith曾經混音但沒有一併收錄的作品，其中包含了"Let's Go to Bed"、"Just One Kiss"、"A Japanese Dream"、"Just Like Heaven"、"Primary"等歌曲；最後也是最令人驚喜的CD3，則同樣由Robert Smith親自操刀，從怪人合唱團的所有專輯與精選輯中，挑出了16首歌曲進行混音，展現出他高齡59歲，卻仍寶刀未老的音樂實力，將"The Drowning Man"、"Just One Kiss"、"Like Cockatoos"、      "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea"等歌曲作了一番完美的嶄新詮釋。
