自 60 年代末出道至今，馳騁 40 個年頭的英倫硬搖滾常青 樹Status Quo，無畏龐克、迪斯可、新浪潮的襲擊，順利銜接迷幻、藍調等風潮，締造連續 13 張專輯全拿金唱片銷售認證的紀錄，累積超過 60 首英國金榜暢銷名曲，雖然一直沒有辦法成功打入美國市場，卻是英國佬最引以為傲的國民天團之一。

從 The Scorpions、The Spectres 到 Traffic Jam 多次更名，最後定為 Status Quo，1968 年發行首張專輯【Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo】，主打歌 “Pictures Of Matchstick Men” 迅速飆升至英國排行榜第七位，擠入美國 Top12 最好名次，也打響 Status Quo 知名度。70 年代，硬搖滾席捲英倫，經過一番思考後決定改變風格問世【Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon】，散發濃郁 Hard Rock/Blues 音軌，開啟全新音樂氣象。出色的表現終於贏得 Vertigo Records 主流大廠賞識，1972 年的【Piledriver】爆衝至英國金榜第五名，隔年再接再厲拱出【Hello】更直升冠軍寶座，一直到1986年，每一張專輯都有 Top10 的亮眼佳績。

慶祝 Status Quo 滿 40 週年紀念而獻上完整精選【Pitcures: 40 Years Of Hits】，空降英國金榜 Top8，包括：初期以 Psychedelic Roc k闖出名號的 “Pictures Of Matchstick Men”，就連搖滾大魔頭 Ozzy Osbourne、混搭 Psychedelic/Electronic 樂團 Death In Vega 聯合 Oasis 主唱 Liam Gallagher、愛爾蘭搖滾隊伍 The Divine Comedy 都曾重新翻玩過；盤旋英國金榜 Top50 長達 17 週之久的 “Down The Dustpipe”；1974 年登頂也是唯一拿下 NO.1 之大作 “Down Down”；詮釋 60 年代經典搖滾樂團 CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival)主唱/創作硬漢John Fogerty 個人曲目 “Rockin’ All Over The World”，Status Quo 也闖出季軍好成績；1987 年在法國狂銷五十萬張的 “In The Army Now”，各地紛傳捷報，佔據奧地利 + 德國 + 愛爾蘭 + 瑞士冠軍，以及英國 + 挪威亞軍；特別獻上 2008 年聖誕應景新錄曲 “It's Christmas Time”；德國 Hardcore Techno 電子組合 Scooter 主攻舞曲界的新裝混音 “Jump That Rock (Whatever You Want)”，大受歐洲多國熱烈歡迎。
